bri baby

it really amazes me that our sweet little baby, that completely changed our lives so much, has grown up so quickly into this smart, sweet little girl.
we are still not sure how it happened but somehow, brielle is two years old.
these past two years have been the best of our lives!
brielle is everything that we never knew we were missing and she makes us happier than we ever knew we could be.

as a two year old....
brielle is a talking monster. she is gabbing constantly. and i mean constantly. our girl will completely talk your ear off. here are some examples of our favorite things she has said lately...
"don't yook at me!"- to anyone who talks to her when she is cranky.
"momma/daddy. stay with me"
"momma/daddy sooo nice."
"uh-oh brielley-oh" (her aunt taught her to say uh-oh spaghetti-oh but she doesn't say it very well.)
"daddy sooo silly"
"momma/daddy watch dis!"
"jingy bells aaaalllllll the way!"

bri- "watch mickey on mommys phone"
me- "you want to watch mickey on mommys phone?"
bri- "awwlright" (like she is doing me a HUGE favor haha)

this is a conversation we had recently right after brielle took a bath when bri was standing in the tub.
bri- "momma. this button not working"
mom- (thinking she means the thing that turns the shower on) "what button baby?
bri- "momma! button not working! pointing at her BELLY button haha!
it totally cracks us up whenever we talk about it! especially since we aren't sure exactly what she thought it was going to do.

grinning after a trip to the store.

little sicky snuggling with her minnie doll watching mickey mouse clubhouse.  luckily we had her birthday party a few days early because this girl was throwing up and sick for her actual birthday :(
brielle loves to sing! her favorite songs are....
the alligator song (5 little monkeys swinging in a tree)
jesus wants me for a sunbeam
jingle bells
5 little pumpkins
itsy bitsy spider
the wise man built his house upon a rock
patty cake
once there was a snowman
twinkle twinkle little star

and she loves to listen to music on the radio. especially taylor swift (she has to listen to that alot with her momma haha) and whenever a new song comes on the radio she says..."i love this song!" and it is just about our favorite thing ever!

her sparkly shoes and an oreo. the good life.
bri is still a picky eater but her favorite foods are....
chicken nuggets
mac and cheese
chicken enchiladas
hawaiian haystacks
rice
noodles
spaghetti
frozen peas
crackers
and chocolate of course
she also loves to have sips of daddy and papa's "toke" (coke) and drink lots of  "yemonade" (lemonade).

guzzling her lemonade
she loves playing pretend and one of our favorite things is to watch her talking to her toys and listen to her conversations with her animals and toys!
especially when she is supposed to be taking a nap and instead we get to listen to her talking to beary, pluto, and minnie in her bed. :)
she really cracks us up!
she still really loves to read books and she loves to play with her mickey magnets at church.
looking fabulous!!
she loves to color and draw! she knows most of her shapes and colors now...
heart, circle, square, triangle, diamond
pink, red, orange, yellow, black, brown, white, blue, purple
and just recently she came up to me and told me that she wanted to "do her homework" which means that she wants to color at the table where her aunt cc and cousins do their homework when they come over. it still makes me smile. :)
doing her homework. :)

happy 2nd birthday to our very special baby girl!
we love you more everyday and we can't remember what our life was like before you came to our family!
thank you for bringing so much happiness into our home!
we love you 1, 2, 3, 4-ever!!!

happy birthday bri baby!!!

hot diggity dog!

bri turned two!!! and we had such an amazing time celebrating!
if you have spent any time around brielle recently, then you will know that she has two great loves.
minnie mouse and mickey mouse clubhouse.
she sleeps with her TWO minnie dolls every night and not a day goes by that i haven't heard "i watch mickey on mommys phone?" or "watch mickey on the big show?" about a billion times.

so to celebrate this year we had a super fun, hot diggity dog day and everything revolved around miss minnie mouse!
it was such a fun day and it was made even more amazing by all the wonderful family and friends that helped us and that we got to share it with!
the biggest thank you though goes to our good friend riki! riki went to high school with my brother spencer and has been a friend of our families for a long time and she is now one of bri's nursery leaders.
and did i mention that she makes the most AMAZING cupcakes?!?
cause she does. see for yourself.

thank you thank you riki!! your amazing!

since this was a minnie mouse party...it wouldn't be complete without some delicious hot (diggity) dogs and pink lemonade. which coincidentally is brielles favorite drink.
and the lucky duck got completely spoiled with all her fun presents and playing with her cousins!

daddy and papa cooking the hot dogs.

bri and her cute cousin milli :)

yummy fruit salsa and cinnamon chips

its her party. she can sit on the floor if she wants too.

bri and her cute buddy "baby waywa" (layla)
she had the best time opening presents. she thought that unwrapping was so much fun and then she was so excited about what was inside that she wanted to start playing with it right away and we had to keep her on track haha.
she also really loved getting sung to and blowing out her candles. she would have been cool if we would have done that 5 or 6 times.

happy birthday brielley!

silly birthday girl eating her "ice pream"

present extravaganza!

thanks to everyone who came and helped us celebrate our baby girls special day!!

we sure love our birthday girl!!

decking the halls.

we've been busy prepping for Christmas around here and loving every second of it.
bri loved decorating the Christmas tree and still likes to pull off her favorite ornaments and put them back on the tree :)
she has been a great helper wrapping presents and filling our home with the Christmas spirit. we love it when she shows us baby Jesus and also her beautiful rendition of jingle bells ("jingy bells aaalllll the way!") is not to be missed.
plus she is extra cute in her Christmas dress with her sparkly Christmas nails. she has made this holiday season extra special for bobby and I and we can't wait for it to continue!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!

her 1st christmas ornament from when she was a baby. we made a big deal out of telling her it was hers and now its one of her favorites.

"apple daddy!"

we love decorating with this girl!

christmas with this little girl is magical!

bright lights.

while we were in Utah for Thanksgiving we spent a night at city creek mall and checking out all the beautiful lights on temple square. i wish we could do it every year! we met up with family that we hadn't seen in a long time and it was such a great night.
it was so beautiful and i love the christmas spirit and season. and bri loves all the pretty christmas lights everywhere. she recently learned her colors so she spent the majority of the night telling everyone what colors the lights were. the only bummer was that i forgot my real camera and so these are all crappy phone pictures. oh well. the mesa temple lights are our next christmas destination, we love christmas time!!

love that cheesy grin!

a trip to be thankful for.

we were lucky enough to go to utah for thanksgiving this year to visit with uncle kent and lots of our family.
it was so fun to see everyone and we really missed those who couldn't make it!
dani, sky, spencer drove down from rexburg to meet us and we all stayed with everyone in midway. (thanks to jim and joan who let us stay in their awesome house!!)
the whole week was like one big sleepover and we loved every second of it!

here are some things that we were thankful for this thanksgiving...

we were really thankful for mickey mouse clubhouse, especially on the long car rides!

bobby and i are always thankful for this awesome girl in our lives!

boy do we love her!

we were thankful for the nice weather that we got to enjoy there so that we could have fun outside!

very thankful for my cute sisters and sister-in-law. as you can tell from this picture, they are much cuter than me and they are awesome aunts and bri loves them!

thankful for all my awesome extended family and their fun ideas!

thankful for the relaxing holiday weekend.

we were thankful for an absolute delicious thanksgiving dinner! and i'm always thankful for oreo turkeys :)

thankful for fun family outings, like trips to see red dawn together! WOLVERINES!

so thankful for this awesome family of mine. especially thankful for the big kid whose missing in this picture! we are so thankful for elder brooksby and we can't wait till he is home from his mission!

thankful for these birthday buddies! bri especially loves "nama" and stevie!
another thing that i'm thankful for is this video.
jim and joan have an awesome playroom at the house that we stayed at that bri couldnt get enough of, the only problem was that they also had a huge stuffed alligator that she was terrified of in there. haha. and of course her daddy thought it was be funny to tease her with it.
the best part about this whole experience is that everyday since last thursday she has brought up that alligator haha. she can't forget about it! all of a sudden i'll hear...."mama, alligator so so so scary!" or "daddy get the alligator" or randomly "what about........alligator" (thats what she says when shes trying to think of something, what about......and then whatever she is thinking of haha)
anyways. its still cracking us up. and we never have to worry about her getting close to alligators.

i'm especially thankful for eternal families, my father in heaven, and for my amazing husband who always knows just what i need. even when i'm not sure myself.

happy thanksgiving everyone!!!
