H2O

we've been spending some fun time in the sun lately and it has been awesome.
the summertime is gorgeous here in rexburg and our only complaint is that our apartment gets ridiculously hot during the daytime.
the plus side is that it does drive us outside and bri loves it.
last week after bobby got off work we picked up my brother spencer and went to rigby lake to enjoy the sun and it was great!
bri really liked sitting at the edge of the water but does not like to play in the sand!
she does not like to be dirty at all. haha

wearing shades.

bobby had just splashed me with cold water and bri was oblivious.
we watched the boys play football and splash in the water
and she got totally worn out
she loved just sitting in the water and throwing rocks
and she definitely did not make it home awake. the sun totally wears her out!
i just love how much she loves people watching.

we have also spend alot of time outside lately in our little pool trying to beat the heat.
she loves her little bucket and shovel.
our friend mal brought her puppy judge judy over to play and bri liked chasing him around

my favorite girl splashing in her floppy hat! love it!

one and a half.

well we cant believe it.
but its true. our little girl is 18 months.
she is definitely not a baby anymore and she is learning new tricks everyday.
 boy do we love her.
she just went to her 18 month appointment this week and she is still our little skinny minnie.
she has yet to break the 20lb. mark and is weighing in at 19.4 lbs.
but she has grown 3 inches since her last check-up.
i wish i burned calories the way this girl does. haha

here are some of the things that bri can do now at 18 months...
she loves to run and jump.
(her feet dont come off the ground and it makes us laugh)
she loves to stack her blocks and really anything stackable.
she loves putting her barn animal puzzle together.
she knows what everything is it seems like. bobby and i are going to have to start spelling things like outside and shower.
she still loves reading books and finally likes you to read them to her. for the longest time she was only interested in flipping through the pages.
she is great at taking her shoes off and loves to try on mommy and daddys shoes.
she is starting to say so many words like mine, daddy, mom, stuck, and hi. and she is starting to mimic us so much more.
she still loves giving kisses and hugs.
and she LOVES her stuffed animals. she hugs them all the time and takes them for walks in her stroller.
she loves to have pretend teaparties.
she is still a very picky eater but she is getting better at trying new foods.

we just cant believe how grown up she is and how much she makes us laugh!

one example of her latest antics happened on wednesday . my best friend took me out for my birthday that is coming up. we had such a great night out! we stuffed our faces at craigos and then caught a movie at the cheap theater.
it was amazing and i loved spending the evening with one of my favorite people! thanks mally!
anyways, we were gone for about 4 hours and i dont usually leave bri very often because bobby and i just always take her with us when we go somewhere.
bri had a great time hanging out with daddy and when i got home she was very excited to see me.
so excited that when i asked her what she did while i was gone she proceeded to bring me all of her toys that were on the floor while babbling away the entire time.

it completely melted my heart and is still making me laugh just thinking about it! haha.

thats probably more than you ever wanted to read about our daughter so i apologize for make this so long.
but a happy (late) half birthday to our bri baby!
we love you!!!

bri baby.

life has been busy around here and here is my attempt at trying to capture some of my favorite moments from this last month.
my girl is growing up WAY too fast!

bri loves sitting. on boxes, stairs, toys, you name it. so we finally got her own little chair to enjoy and she couldnt be happier.

our latest drive-in adventure. bri discovered popcorn and was rapidly shoving it in her and her daddys mouth. i love this picture. mostly because she thinks that she is hilarious. :)

bathtub painting. she is getting really good. and the colors end up looking a lovely puke color by the time she is done haha.

helping mom make cookies.

bobby has started running and we walked with him to the baseball field by our house to watch him. bri followed him the whole time. every time he changed direction so did she. cutest thing ever.

in the morning bri loves to watch mickey mouse clubhouse and she gets ridiculously excited when it comes on.

getting cinnamon breadsticks is the greatest. enough said.

enjoying bris new pool.

bris first carousel ride this year. it was a huge hit! she didnt even want me to hold on to her. she kept pushing my hands away. she is way too old for that apparently.

sitting pretty on the otter pop box, banging her tea cups. we love her.

everybody reads in the bathroom....

phineas and ferb coma. her other favorite show. haha

reading on the couch :)
it is seriously ridiculous how grown up she is getting. she definitely has a mind of her own and a lot of personality.
she has been to nursery for the past two weeks even though she wont be 18 months until this sunday and she really loves it! she loves following other kids around and playing. she is our little social butterfly.
she still LOVES babies but she is so good and soft with them. she just constantly hugs them and talks to them in her "baby voice", which sounds just like a grown ups baby voice would. it makes my heart melt.
this past week she also learned the word "mine". i honestly have NO idea how she learned it so quickly. im sure that we say mine from time to time but more often we say something like thats mommys or thats daddys. anyway. it cracks us up. everything is "mine, mine, mine". im sure it will get annoying real quick. haha.
every time i look at her i cant believe what a little girl she is already. seriously, where did my baby go??

we went on a trip.

we got to go to arizona a few weeks ago because these two beautiful girls graduated from high school!!

dani and sky
bobby and i have the cutest sisters.
bobbys sister sky has been living with my parents for her senior year of high school and her and my sister dani are two gorgeous peas in a pod.

we love these girls and are so proud of them. hooray for being in college now!!! :)
(and yes. bri is freaking out in all the pictures. she does NOT like graduations)

we had such an awesome trip!
i love arizona. i forget just how much i love it until i go back.

we spent so much time in the sun!
grandma and grandpa wolfe have a great splash park by their house that bri had a blast in. and of course we always love lounging around in grandma and grandpa brooksbys pool.

love this little sweetheart.
and the other awesome thing about vacations.....eating!
bobby and i have a rule that when we go on vacation, we can't go out to eat anywhere that we can go to in rexburg. its really not such a hard rule to follow. haha.
this trip we went with bobbys family to cooperstown, alice coopers restaurant in downtown phoenix.
home of the 'big unit' hotdog.

bobby and i split one and it was so delicious!!!
we also got in and out, sonic, rubios, sardellas, loads of frozen yogurt, and of course....

CHIPOTLE!!!!
mmmmmmmm! my favorite. i would eat it everyday if i could do it without gaining 600 pounds.
okay. im starting to drool just thinking about it.
moving on.

we also got to go to a diamondbacks game!
dont worry. we all wore matching diamondbacks shirts.
cause we are that cool.

it was bobby and bri's first diamondbacks game and my first game in years and we all had a blast!

we were having so much fun that we really didnt want to come home!
but luckily we will be back in just a few month. :)
it was so awesome to be able to celebrate graduation with our sisters and to be able to spend time with family.
we even got to see my youngest brother which was bittersweet. his first week in mexico for his mission he tore his meniscus in his left knee. he had surgery on it while we were there and is already healing and is so anxious to get back to mexico.
we were so happy to get to see him but also hope that his knee heals quickly so that it wont hurt him anymore!

what an awesome trip.
we love the sunshine and cant wait for the rest of summer!!!
