right now we are recovering from a very eventful two weeks and bri and i dont really feel like doing anything.

even though i really should be cleaning my house.

in case you wanted to know, here are some things ive been thinking lately...

i really miss the first day of school. 

there is nothing like it. especially the first day of college. we just got my brother moved into his apartment and he started college for the first time yesterday. im a little jealous.

there is nothing like picking out your first day of school outfit, moving into your apartment, wondering who will sit next to you in your classes, and getting to meet loads of new people.

okay. im really jealous. i totally loved college and i always feel nostalgic at the beginning of the new semesters.

this blog post has been floating around the internet the past few days and i have really mixed feelings about it.

in case you dont feel like reading it, the writer just posts baby names from the past year in rexburg that she thinks are weird or funny.

and most of them are really weird and funny.

i dont think that she is overly mean or malicious about her list. but she is definitely mocking.

thats not really the part that ends up bothering me. her list generates hundreds of comments and alot of them are ridiculously mean.

i think posting comments anonymously leaves people feeling more brave and whatever humor i found in the name list quickly vanishes when i read the mean things people have to say about the parents of these babies. the worst is when one of the parents comment saying that that is their daughter/sons name and that they love it. and then 5 more people leave comments under their comment making fun of them more.

maybe im just really sensitive.

 brielles name ended up as a weird name that people added to the list this year in the comments.

 thats cool, bobby and i love it. 

i just think that most people take alot of time choosing their kids names and it kind of stings when people make fun of it.

sorry that kind of turned into a rant and it wasnt intended to be at all.

just some thoughts from a very tired mama while her little girl takes a nap.

another thought....we're going to the zoo tomorrow and i cant wait for bri to pet those baby goats. :)

all hail the graduate!

cause my man graduated college!!!!!

he is now officially a man with a bachelors degree in exercise science.

i couldnt be prouder. :)

bri is proud of him too, but this is what she did during graduation.

she was actually so good during the commencement. but by the time convocation came around, she had absolutely had it. she did get to watch daddy get his diploma on a little tv outside with grandma. she even recognized him. :)

we are so lucky that everyone was able to come up and be with us!!!

the next day (after the snow had melted. maybe you didnt notice that in the previous pictures. it was gross.) we had a graduation bbq extravaganza celebration! 

all to celebrate this boy some more.

our favorite 3 year old twins came to visit us too! oh and their parents.

bobby was so happy to finally gain their friendship back! they loved him when they were babies before they moved to texas but havent been big fans of him since.

i think that bri helped to win them over.

turning twelve

my baby sister cc turned 12 years old today! man that makes me feels really old.
she is the nicest, sweetest, and smartest 12 year old you will ever meet! and she has a niece that already adores and looks up to her. seriously, everything that cc does is hysterical to bri and she already follows her all around :)

happy birthday to my favorite 12 year old!!!!
