summer vaca- part two.

we spent last week visiting with our family in iowa and we had such a great time!
we love hanging out and seeing family.
everyone in bobbys family went skydiving this trip. and bri and i had a great time watching them safely from the ground :)
we got to go mini golfing, see the dinosaur exhibit at the putnam museum, have taco tuesday, get shake and steak, and spend lots of time with aunt sky before she heads off to college.
it makes bobby and i so bummed that 3 of our siblings will be in rexburg now and we wont be there!!

bri coloring on the plane ride. she was so good on both the flights. and she seriously LOVES coloring. she can color for like 30 minutes straight. which for her is like a lifetime.

bri and aunt sky became best buddies this trip. brielle is super lucky to have 3 of the coolest aunts ever!

bri loves showers. and we use a walk-in shower when we visit. bri decided that she needed a second shower one morning and hopped in with her dad fully clothed. she makes us laugh :)

bri's new favorite thing is getting her nails painted. she walks around touching them and saying "pw-ettty" all the time. aunt sky gave her glitter toenails and she was as happy as a clam.

playing at the park with cousin aj and sky. she enjoyed it about 100 times more than it shows in this picture haha

necklaces are another one of bris favorite things. you could say that she is pretty girlie.

we did lots of nail painting on this trip.

lounging.

her life is awesome. plus she can finally fit into her moccasins and that makes me happy

aj is so cool. we love him!

super fly.

skydiving adventure! more pictures coming soon.

minature golf date. bri is a great mini golfer.

we love museums! and this one had so much fun stuff for bri to do. we had a great time and she walks around saying dinosaurs all the time now.
we had a great time, as usual, and are already looking forward to our next trip!
now that our vacations are done, we are starting to get a routine going here in our new life.
we are still waiting for it to stop feeling like we are on vacation. haha
we are very happy to say that bobby just got a job as a lab assistant drawing blood at a clinic and he will be starting soon.
we are feeling so blessed that he was able to find a good job so quickly!

we have had such an amazing summer but we are all ready to get back in the swing of normal life again! although im sure pretty soon we will be wanting a vacation :)

summer vaca- part one

in july we had our awesome ashton family reunion in lava hot springs.
and it was so great!
we had such a fun time spending time with family!
we rented a big house so it was basically a huge sleepover and we loved every second of it.
lava hot springs is so fun and bobby and i are kicking ourselves for not taking another trip there during our time in rexburg while we lived so close.
the trip was just fabulous and other than a few meltdowns from bri, it was full of river rafting, swimming, playing games, name that tune, minute to win it, singing loudly, lots of laughing, ping pong, movies, and lots of delicious food!

some of my favorite pictures from the week
hugging cousin stevie. this happened ALOT.

getting ready to go rafting.

who is watching milli?

no worries. bri has the situation under control. :)

shout out to our two favorite missionary cousins preston and wilson who were missing!

more stevie hugging. yes they are a year apart and yes stevie may be the same size as bri. they are gonna be best buds.

pool day!

lots of this happened too. bri got spoiled with all the pop she was able to steal all week.

river rafting. please ignore our glaringly white skin. we live in alaska and idaho okay? dont judge.

she loves stevie.

taking a little phineas and ferb break

love this picture.

bri getting hugged by bella. it was a vicious cycle of crazy hugs all week. she would hug the babies and then bella would hug her. haha

playing with bubbles.

sucker time!
we went to the pool at lava hot springs and it was so fun!
bobby was especially psyched about the three huge platforms that they have there. the tallest one was 33 ft.
they had a ton of cool slides too and it was so fun watching everyone working up the courage to go off the different levels of platforms!
i am proud to say that i went off each of the levels once...including the tallest. then i was done haha.
bobby went off the tallest one atleast 20 times so he thinks that he is pretty cool.

patriotic.

the 3 levels.

i made bobby go with me and i screamed the whole way down haha

synchronized.

it was such a fun week and we are already looking forward to the next ashton family reunion!
we miss everyone already!!

next up: awesome pictures from our trip to iowa this last week!

the last month

some pictures from the past month of our life.
some before our move, some during, and some after.
all featuring our little love bug of course.
enjoy :)

our last trip on the rexburg merry-go-round. a wolfe family favorite.

getting stuck in the toy bin is always fun

we made a stop at temple square while we stopped over in salt lake for a few days on our way to arizona.

bri also got to experience the disney store for the first time in salt lake and its her new favorite place. she picked out her "miinnie" doll herself and seriously did not put it down for three days. she loves her.

also made a pit stop at east high :) best day ever.

we got to go out to lunch with great-aunt helen too and bri loved playing with all her cool toys and collecting rocks!

thanks for letting us visit you aunt helen! we love you!

crawling in and out of grandma-greats dog kennel.

this is my cousin bella....aka bris new best friend. she LOVES hanging out with bella. i hope that they are always best buddies like this.

making the drive into our new home state! dont judge our ghastly faces and attire. moving is hard. plus its really hot here haha

moving on.

well we did it.
we officially have left our life in rexburg behind.
even as we are unpacking our stuff i still cant really believe that we arent going to be headed back next week.
these past few weeks have just been crazy and ridiculously emotional.
but we are starting to get settled and set up in this new life of ours.

we spent the last week of july packing and cleaning like crazy and have been crazy busy ever since.

bri did not like getting all her stuff packed up. or being ignored.
although she did love rediscovering her old stuff
we need to give a big thank you to our family for all of their help and support these past few weeks. especially to my little brother spence who stayed with us after he finished school and basically saved us. he is awesome.
it wasnt all work before we left, we did get to hit up all of favorite rexburg spots and get to spend time with our friends that we already miss so dearly.
(like the judys and the princes. we love you guys!!!!)

bobby and spence getting ready for some delicious big judds
waiting for delicious burgers with my bff
my parents and cc came up with a trailer to help us pack everything up. (they are also awesome)
cc was on bri duty which may have been the hardest job of all because she was a beast that day. she hated having all her toys and stuff get all packed away. i cant really blame her though. i felt the same way.

our apartment was ridiculously hot, so bri got some playing time in the sink with some delicious grapes.

she was a good little helper too. she especially loved cleaning walls with grandma.
our empty apartment :(
we will definitely miss this place!

after we got everything packed away, we headed over to the judys to spend our last night in rexburg. it was the perfect way to end our rexburg life.
i have been blessed with so many awesome people in my life but this is one of the relationships that i am most thankful for. mallory and i became instant best friends when we were neighbors in college and have basically been inseparable ever since. we have lived next door to each other twice since then and have never been more than 5 minutes driving distance for the past 5 years basically.
leaving your best friend is really crappy. really crappy.
and i miss her like crazy already.
bri does too. she always points and says mal when she is scrolling through pictures on my phone.
thanks so much for opening up your beautiful home to us.
i love you!

our last views before leaving town
dont worry there are many more pictures of our adventures this past month coming soon. :)
