a trip to be thankful for.

we were lucky enough to go to utah for thanksgiving this year to visit with uncle kent and lots of our family.
it was so fun to see everyone and we really missed those who couldn't make it!
dani, sky, spencer drove down from rexburg to meet us and we all stayed with everyone in midway. (thanks to jim and joan who let us stay in their awesome house!!)
the whole week was like one big sleepover and we loved every second of it!

here are some things that we were thankful for this thanksgiving...

we were really thankful for mickey mouse clubhouse, especially on the long car rides!

bobby and i are always thankful for this awesome girl in our lives!

boy do we love her!

we were thankful for the nice weather that we got to enjoy there so that we could have fun outside!

very thankful for my cute sisters and sister-in-law. as you can tell from this picture, they are much cuter than me and they are awesome aunts and bri loves them!

thankful for all my awesome extended family and their fun ideas!

thankful for the relaxing holiday weekend.

we were thankful for an absolute delicious thanksgiving dinner! and i'm always thankful for oreo turkeys :)

thankful for fun family outings, like trips to see red dawn together! WOLVERINES!

so thankful for this awesome family of mine. especially thankful for the big kid whose missing in this picture! we are so thankful for elder brooksby and we can't wait till he is home from his mission!

thankful for these birthday buddies! bri especially loves "nama" and stevie!
another thing that i'm thankful for is this video.
jim and joan have an awesome playroom at the house that we stayed at that bri couldnt get enough of, the only problem was that they also had a huge stuffed alligator that she was terrified of in there. haha. and of course her daddy thought it was be funny to tease her with it.
the best part about this whole experience is that everyday since last thursday she has brought up that alligator haha. she can't forget about it! all of a sudden i'll hear...."mama, alligator so so so scary!" or "daddy get the alligator" or randomly "what about........alligator" (thats what she says when shes trying to think of something, what about......and then whatever she is thinking of haha)
anyways. its still cracking us up. and we never have to worry about her getting close to alligators.

i'm especially thankful for eternal families, my father in heaven, and for my amazing husband who always knows just what i need. even when i'm not sure myself.

happy thanksgiving everyone!!!

lions, tigers, and bears.

the best part of bobby's new job is that he gets all the government holidays off. so on veterans day, we joined basically everyone else in the valley at the phoenix zoo.
it was crowded but such a fun day! and it was nice and cool and bri loved looking at the animals and saying all the sounds that she knows.
we feel like she is a freaking genius lately. and she is talking like crazy.
its insane.
but we had a great day at the zoo and are looking forward to our next trip already!

"look mama" she loved pointing out all the animals.

showing daddy the giraffes and stuff. also she thinks giraffes are dinosaurs. we have to work on that.

checking out the map.

being an elephant. "whooooooo"

she mostly just loved to chase the goats. but she dared to pet a few. :)

"bye, bye goat!"

she wasn't nearly as excited about these cool animals as i was.

she just wanted to go on the slide. haha

love these two!

halloween things and monsters inc.

happy halloween!

we hope that everyone has had as much fun this halloween season as we did.
we tried to spread out all of our halloween goodness throughout the month so that we could have as much fun as possible and it worked out pretty well.

first we decorated lots of pumpkin cookies that grandma brooksby made for us.
bri was so serious decorating those cookies at first and she of course won't touch the frosting with her fingers and would only use her plastic knife to spread it around.
but she got into it pretty quick and her funny faces made us laugh.
she wouldn't eat the cookies afterwards though....."too messy mama".
she is a weirdo.
we got pumpkins next. we didnt get the chance to get out to a fun pumpkin patch this year or even carve our big pumpkin that we got because this month was crazy. next year we will try to sneak in some more fall goodness. but bri did get to paint her little pumpkin that she picked out. it is sitting on our shelf and everytime she walks by it she says...."brielleys pwettty pun-kin"
she is so proud of it. :)

picking out the perfect pun-kin.

it was obviously the perfect choice.

getting some serious painting done.

i love the look of intense concentration haha

showing daddy the paint on her finger. we are trying to get her to be a little less ocd everyday haha.

this year for halloween we decided to be characters from the movie monsters inc.
originally bri was going to be minnie mouse (her favorite) but then we started thinking about what a cute boo she would make and then bobby and i decided to join in on the monsters inc. fun for our ward trunk or treat.
so we went as boo, mike wezowski, and celia (smoopsy poo...i tried to ger bobby to call me that all night but no cigar.)

the monsters inc. gang.
boo helping katniss defeat the capitol. maybe you missed that part of the book....

bri was really happy about halloween. at first she was just really excited about about people putting things into her bucket and then she realized that they were putting candy and suckers in there and she so happy and had to keep checking it out.

cc was an awesome katniss and bri loves her.

do you see how many suckers i have in here???

mike wezowski!! he is such a good sport and i love him.

when she got tired of walking around she plopped right in the parking lot to share a sucker with daddy.

my dads band played the whole time and it was a lot of fun. dont be jealous of how cool my dad is. :)

on a crazy sugar high with grammy.
the trunk or treat was a success and the next night we got to do it all again for actual halloween. we went to a couple of blocks before bri got to tired.
she was so funny. she wanted to do it all herself and she carried her bucket for a long time after it got heavy before she asked mama for help. when we would go up to the doors she would reach right into peoples bowls with no fear and grab a piece and put it in her bucket. it was cracking us up.
and on the last few houses she was tired and was saying "house" and trying to go into peoples houses haha. apparently anyones house would do. thats when we decided to head home.

boo giving her daddy "tisses" after work. :)

halloween night.

when bella got there bri got a second wind and decided that she wanted to go to a few more houses with her.

love these two!

bri loves milli! we cant wait for her to grow up a little more!

trick or treating with these two cuties!
our halloween was awesome and bri had a blast! plus bobby and i have a ridiculous amount of delicious candy now so that is awesome! :)
hope everyone had a great october!

happy halloween from the bobrey and boo!

party weekend!

this past weekend we had our first visitor come to az to see us and it was awesome!
jeff was bobbys roommate while we were dating and engaged and is one of our favorite friends from college and he and bobby have a serious bromance.
we have missed hanging out with him and his wife whitney a ton since moving here so we were so excited to see him. the only bummer was that whitney was busy with school so she didnt get to come too. we missed you whitney!

we did lots of fun things while jeff was here, including going to the monday night football game! we also got to meet up with another one of bobbys and jeffs roomates derek and his wife monica for dinner.
the johnsons are great and their son cole is to die for! so cute. bri totally followed him around and though he was so cool.
bri and cole :)
the main reason for the party weekend was that back in june we all got tickets to go to the monday night football game on october 29th.
the cardinals vs. the 49ers.
the cards got smoked but it was super awesome to go hang out at the stadium and watch the game live!

here are some of our pictures from an awesome night!
headed to the game!

we loved having jeff here to see us! bobby especially loved it.
thanks for coming to see us jeff!!
