watched it and loved it.

yes. i woke up at 3:00 am yesterday morning to watch these two get married live.
yes. i am a huge nerd.
and yes. i loved EVERY minute of it.
i love the tradition that england has and the tradition of the ceremony.
i love that william and kate rode in a carriage built in 1902.
i love that they were married in the same place that has held royal coronations since the year 1066.
i loved the uniforms and the hats.
i loved the thousands of people on the streets celebrating england.
i love buckingham palace.
i wanted to be there.

so think whatever you want. im a huge nerd. and i am honestly still a little exhausted from yesterday since bri decided to wake up at 7 yesterday morning.
but it was totally worth it.

we went to sidney......

...nebraska.

maybe you have never heard of it. well it is a tiny nebraskan town whose claim to fame is a having a cabela's and thats pretty much it.

why did we go there you might ask? well sidney, nebraska is also the town that is both 10 hours away from rexburg and also 10 hours away from iowa. which makes it great for visiting family!

so last thursday we loaded up the truck to meet bobby's family so that they could see and some of them could meet brielle. we had a great time and bri did awesome in the car so really we couldnt have asked for a better weekend!

here are just a few awesome pictures from our trip!

just so its clear....i didnt take any of these awesome pictures. some people have an eye for photography. and i am not one of those people. luckily for us, bobbys cousin alta is and she took loads of the cutest pictures with her fancy schmancy camera! we love all the pictures and are very grateful for her awesome photography skills! :)

emmetts fight

emmett is a little boy in my parents ward back home in arizona who my mom describes as just the sweetest little boy that there ever was.

last march emmett swallowed a button battery which severely damaged and burned his esophagus and he has been dealing with the effects since then.

my mom has been updating me on his story for the past year and every development has broken my heart at the things this little boy and his family have had to go through. he is improving but there is still a long road ahead.

his family recently just started a website to help educate families on the dangers of button batteries, things that we all have in our home.

go to emmettsfight.com to read more about emmett and his family and to learn more about what types of objects in your home have these small batteries. some may surprise you.

i know a lot of my friends who read this now have little kids and the rauch's didnt even know that the battery was in his throat for a couple of days before it was found through an xray. his early symptoms were thought to be a flu by an urgent care doctor, which is why they are hoping to spread awareness and help parents avoid going through what they have been going through.

definitely read more about emmett and help share his story with others!

feeling lucky

bobby and i danced to the garth brooks version of the song 'to make you feel my love' at our wedding and i just discovered the adele version of that song recently and have been listening to it nonstop.

that song just reminds me of one of the best days ever and never ceases to put a huge smile on my face.

sometimes i just cant believe that we have been married for over 2 and a 1/2 years. it has been the best years of my life and everyday gets better and better. he is the best father and husband a girl could ask for.

we make the best team. :)

and now we have this girl in our family.

this girl....

who makes us laugh.

who gives us the biggest smiles whenever she sees us.

who trusts and loves us so completely.

who makes us happier than we have ever been.

who makes our little family better everyday.

i am so lucky.

and i have just been thinking about that today.

keeping busy

so these are some of the projects that i have been working on the past couple of months while bri and i have been stuck inside.

obviously i have gotten cabin fever.

this girl needs sunshine and summertime.

we have made bri and i loads and loads of hairbows. sorry that the quality of these pictures are bad. most of them are from my phone. the best part about making bows for brielle is that i have the cutest model ever for them!

this is the bow board from our bathroom filled up with all our creations.

this one is from an old shirt and i was pretty excited about it.

ive found lots of cute tutorials online on how to make our house look more springy because all this blah weather that we have been having has been putting me in a cranky mood!

i thought this one was super cute and fun and perfect for my new shelf that i got from d.i. and painted.
alot of the directions that i saw said to spray paint the bottles but i decided to just paint them.
mostly i decided this because i didnt have spray paint but i did have leftover regular white paint.

it took a little more time but i think it turned out pretty good.

so you may have gathered this by now, but the truth is i am a great copier.

my friend amber made the cutest spring wreath and luckily she is super nice to me because i just had to copy the idea. i did do different colors though so that makes it okay.

imitation is the highest form of flattery right?? thanks amber!

this next one is like my greatest blog discovery on the planet! i loooooooove tagalong girl scout cookies. like more than any other cookie in the world basically. but i seriously hate paying 3.50 for like 10 cookies. and lets face it.....once a year is just not good enough for me.

but i found this link for homemade tagalong knockoffs that were so cheap and just as good, if not better, than the girl scout variety! yummy! ive been craving them ever since the ones i made disappeared!

try it. they wont disappoint.

and my biggest project that i have been working on is finally finishing bri's nursery. she has only been alive for 3 and a half months. its about time i think.

i picked up this beauty for $4 at d.i. and painted it white.
i think it turned out better than i expected! the top white frame is also from d.i. and a black and white picture of brielle is going to go in it. i just havent ordered it yet.

and lastly. i love it when babies names are over their cribs and i originally had this whole wooden block letter idea. but then i got strangely paranoid about having something heavy over her bed.

weird i know.

so i came up with this little ditty made out of only paper and clothespins.

i was so excited about it and i think it turned out really good. mostly thanks to my friend mal, her schools cricut machine, and her excellent paper cutting skills. :)

anyways. these are my crafts.

i am proud of them. especially since i have never really thought of myself as a crafty person.

next project: jazzing up the plain old diaper bag i bought when my old one broke.

thank you for indulging me.

oh yeah. and this is our happy girl.

she cracks us up.

conference weekends are my fav.

there is nothing like listening to the prophet and apostles and spending the weekend snuggling up with these two.
