making old things new.

we've been on the look out for stuff for our little man lately and recently found a few gems at the goodwill by our house that we liked. so while bobby has been on break from school, we made our first attempts at the furniture makeover of a glider and a changing table, with our fingers crossed. 

overall it was a success and we are so excited with how they turned out! mostly thanks to bobby who did all the hard work like sanding and painting with sweat pouring down his face. in fact, other than a little sewing, all i did was pick colors and tell him if he missed a spot. haha. sometimes being 9 months pregnant has its perks.

 we found a changing table that we thought would be great for storing all of baby brothers stuff since he will be sharing a room with bobby and i for awhile. we decided to paint it white so that eventually when we have more room, it will match our crib and dresser. we were so happy with this find and it stores so much! its awesome :)

 my new favorite thing though is our new glider. we found it without any cushioning and in rough shape, but thought we would give it a shot anyways. i always wished i had a rocking chair when bri was little. bobby did all the hard work of sanding and painting it and i worked on making a cushion. i found a lot good tutorials online and i'm pretty proud of how it all turned out and came together. i can't wait to rock our little man in our new chair! and bri loves to rock her friends in it so it has the whole families approval haha.
