this past holiday season

welcome back to our blog. we've been missing in action for quite some time with no real excuse. sometimes i get forgetful and then sometimes i get lazy and overwhelmed with how much i have to catch up on.

but since we use this as our own personal picture journal....its time to get things back under control.

christmas with a 2 year old is awesome. it was so fun to see her excitement this year and she loved opening presents. santa spoiled her with a kitchen and dora table and chairs and both are still in continual daily use at our house. we had such a fun day and loved watching our baby girls excitement. the good news about updating our blog so late is that christmas is only like 8 months away again now!

santa came!!!

some how this became the outfit of choice for going outside on christmas morning. i still have no idea where that lei came from.

unfortunately the holiday joy was short lived. grandma got sick with the flu on christmas day and it quickly spread through everyone. 

it caught up to bri a few days after christmas and lasted all the way into the new year, with a cough that stuck around until the end of january. between the 3 of us, i think we were pretty much sick all of january. its kind of a blur since there wasnt a ton of sleeping going on.
