family fun week- monday and tuesday

bobby started nursing school on may 13th, and he stopped working on may 3rd so that we could have a week of family fun before his 15 months of school started. we stuffed our week full of stuff that brielle loves and had such a great time!

on monday we went hiking with grandma. she goes hiking everyday, but there is no way that i could carry bri so we don't go with her very often. this time we were lucky to have daddy with us and bri loves pointing everything out to him from her little backpack. "do you see that flower daddy? if you see a flower....say flower!" (then exchange the word flower for rock, cactus, mommy, grandma, etc...haha) i love listening to those two talk to each other!

monday afternoon we worked hard on our mother's day gifts for bri's grandmas. she painted them aprons this year and loved painting! i need to be cooler and let her do it more often. she used lots of her "favorite" colors that she picked out all by herself and was so excited about her surprises for her grandmas!

she is such a serious little artist.

 then she got silly with daddy and they wore each other's shoes. she thought this was such a funny joke! haha. this girl loves playing with her dad!

monday was also the day that bri started swimming lessons. which she LOVED. but more on that later.

tuesday we had a relaxing day playing with bri's toys, going out for lunch and then going to the library which is one of bri's very favorite places. she is constantly asking if we can go to the library and play and get mickey movies. she is the sweetest. after we picked out her movies, read a book, and played with the toys she got to play the dora game on the computer and daddy even let her do it all by herself. she was so happy! (even if you can't tell by the picture)

 i had to leave swimming lessons early for activity days, so daddy and bri went on a date to get ice cream after swimming lessons. bri got her first ever big girl cone and it was a huge hit! our favorite is how after literally every lick she say "mmmmm!") it quickly became tradition to go and get ice cream after swimming lessons.
